[edit] Pedestrian Options

Depends on where you are. Good luck if you want to walk from University Drive Down to Ditto Landing, which isn't that far by distance and should be a nice 4 hour walk, but because of the numerous stops, lack of sidewalks and lack of safe paths and winding turns, it will take you at least 9 hours. That said, some areas of town have nice sidewalks that can get you to some nice shops and eateries (Five Points and downtown, and I thnk Providence though I've never really been there), while some of the suburbes have curving sidewalks thatjust curve in to the suburbs. Great for visiting neighbor but not so much transportation.
